Is safe and easy. The HydrANTguard Rubber Boot has been designed for installation without shutting down the water supply.
Firstly it may require the ground area around the Hydrant to be dug away, then simply stretch the HYDRANTGUARD BOOT over the top of the hydrant and push onto the outer part of the hydrant flange. If hydrant is corroded it must be cleaned to a smooth finish using a wire brush and a heavy rasp, leaving no gaps This is important to prevent ants from finding gaps to penetrate. Once this is completed then slide a piece of 225mm Stormwater PVC to the appropriate depth, fill-in around pipe and fit cover.
IT’S THAT SIMPLE NO MORE “ANT DIRT” MAKES FOR SAFER FIRE FIGHTING!
